What is hell? According to John 14:26, the Holy Spirit teaches us the Scriptures. So, here is what the Holy Spirit taught me about hell. What is the greatest attribute of God? He is eternal. We are made in the image of God (Genesis 1:27), our spirit or soul is therefore eternal. But our carnal body is mortal. God does not need a body to flourish, we do. Life is a gift from God, it is up to us to do what we want with it; to serve God or not. When this first body dies, if we want another one, we must use it for the glory of God, if not, we will not have another one! So, in what status will our spirit find itself without a body? In the parable of the rich man and Lazarus, in Luke 16:24, the rich man wants a drop of water on his tongue to relieve his suffering in hell! How could a drop of water relieve the physical pain caused by a real fire? Physical hell does not exist. Let's go back to our soul without a physical body, what happens to it? It cannot feel anything physical, that is to say, it does not see, it does not hear anything, it does not perceive heat or cold, it does not speak, there is no one around it, probably at the end of the universe where there is nothing, only the interstellar void, however, it perceives the psychological pain of its status without ever sleeping and this, eternally forgotten voluntarily by God. What is the least bad, that or to burn physically eternally? The best is to use our soul and our body to do the will of God and one day, find ourselves in paradise.
